Dr. Carol A. Blake, DDS
Dr. Carol Blake, a Massachusetts native, established the Blake Dental Group in 2011, after more than 20 years of providing care to patients in the Washington, DC area. She grew up outside of Worcester, and was drawn to dentistry because she wanted to be in a healing profession and work with her hands. Dr. Blake earned a bachelor of science in zoology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst; and, in 1988, graduated magna cum laude with a doctorate in dental surgery from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry. She then went on to complete a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Following her residency, Dr. Blake returned to Washington to begin clinical work. In 2000, she joined Dr. John Beschenbossel’s practice in Friendship Heights; and then, eleven years later, bought the practice and made it her own.
One of Dr. Blake’s passions is helping underprivileged people obtain their badly needed dental care. For more than 20 years, she volunteered in the dental clinic of Washington’s Spanish Catholic Center, which offers free and low-cost dental services to its community. In her off-hours Dr. Blake uses her hands in another way, molding pottery. She is married and has one son.

Dr. John H. Beschenbossel, DDS
Dr. Beschenbossel was born in Duluth, MN. He lived in South Dakota, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Japan, and Maryland. Dr. B. went to Temple University School of Dentistry as well as Temple Undergraduate School. He also served on active duty with the Army upon graduation for three years, then on call with the Army Reserves for the next 35 years. During that time and later, he had advanced training in General Anesthesia, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral Medicine, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Operative Dentistry, Oral Pathology and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. B. has had a dental license to practice in Japan, Hong Kong, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington D.C. He has been a member of Psi Omega Fraternity, the John A. Kolmer Honorary Medical Society (Post President), The Association of Military Surgeons, The District of Columbia Dental Society, The Maryland Dental Society, The Capital Academy of Clinical Dentistry, the American Legion, the Reserve Officers Association, the Military Order of the World Wars, the International Club of Annapolis, and the Davidsonville Area Civic Association.
Dr. B. is listed in 2008 Cambridge Who’s Who, in 2005 National Register’s Who’s Who and was listed in Virginia Living Top Dentists based on a Peer Review Survey in 2011. He has also been listed as a top dentist in the Washingtonian Magazine for the last 8 years. His free time is occupied with collector car clubs, boat clubs and authoring children’s books. When not at a car show or on a boat, Dr. B. spends his time with his wife Jeane and French bulldog, Sofie.

Dr. Thameaneh Tabatabaeifar, DDS (Dr. Sami Taba)
Dr. Taba, a native of Davis, California, is a highly skilled general dentist specializing in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice, and we are confident that her personalized approach and commitment to exceptional patient care will leave a lasting impression. After completing her undergraduate studies at UC Davis, Dr. Taba earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) at the prestigious University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. Her remarkable skills and dedication were recognized when she was selected as one of the four students in her graduating class to participate in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. This additional training has equipped her with advanced techniques and insights to provide the highest standard of dental care.
Dr. Taba’s passion lies in building strong relationships with her patients, understanding their unique needs, and tailoring treatments accordingly. She is driven by a desire to improve oral health and achieve exceptional functional and aesthetic outcomes for each individual she serves. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Taba is a compassionate individual who finds fulfillment in giving back to her community. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her two cats. She is an active volunteer with Maryland Mission of Mercy, where she contributes her skills and time to provide free dental care to underserved populations.
